So very busy!

3 Feb

It’s all go at CCK, we’ve got parties to host, socials to go to, places to be, things to see, people to do… you know how it goes. Busy busy busy!

We’d love to see you at some of these on the run-up to Valentines Day – so here they are!

4th February (so that’s tomorrow) – CCK Social, hosted by the very lovely Maxine, at Le Pain Quotidien on Great Marlborough Street in central London. Come along to meet other CCK fans in a vanilla setting – just ask for the table booked by Maxine if you don’t know where to go.

Then on Monday the 7th, there is a little low-key gathering in the offices, with a Femdom edge. It’s planned as a quiet evening of a little kink, a little coffee, and a little cake – come along if you’re shy, or want to just dip your toe in the kinky waters!

And, to top it all, on Wednesday the 9th, there is our Valentines Day Shopping Extravaganza – an evening where you can come along and pick something up to spoil yourself or those you love! There will, as always, be our signature Monmouth Coffee, tasty cakes, and lashings of kink!

For both events next week, they’ll start at 6:30pm, at out offices. The address is: 310, Panther House, 38 Mount Pleasant, London, WC1X 0AN [google map]; please sign in at reception then make your way up, following the signs (as directed by the person on the door!). We’re on the third floor, so if you do have mobility issues, we’ll show you the lift.

If you RSVP on facebook to either of next week’s events it would help us to see numbers – or email emma[dot]s[at]coffeecakeandkink[dot]com if you don’t want this going public, or for any other info!  Our number is 020 7419 2996 – call us if you have problems finding the building on the night, want to reserve products before the day, or want to ask any questions.

And of course, if you can’t make it to one of the shopping parties – we’ve got lots of goodies in our online shop, including Valentines hampers, and our blog is talking about lots of other things to do and see over the weekend and on Valentines itself – no matter how you like to celebrate.

Don’t forget to enter our Valentines’ Caption Competiton too!

Kafe Dangao he Bientai wishes you a happy Chinese New Year!

2 Feb

Today is Chinese New Year, so we are – for the day – ”咖啡,蛋糕 和 变态“ (Kafe Dangao he Bientai). Which is “Coffee, Cake and Kink” in Chinese, according to our resident linguist Joseph.

2011 is the Year of the Rabbit according to the Chinese calendar, and, well, we couldn’t resist, because we’re a bunch of perverts who don’t think of animals when someone says “rabbit”. Ahem. But we don’t have a rabbit. We do have lots of vibrators, and this one is better than a rabbit. It’s Kiera’s staff pick of the week – the Fun Factory’s G-Twist

I’m a huge fan of the Fun Factory brand (I am slowly but surely testing each product!) because they are made from high-quality silicone and come in bright colours and funky designs – a plus if you’re attached to things that look as well as feel good.

The G-Twist’s ridges and the curved tip gives extra stimulation to the g-spot and a smooth back means a more gentle sensation in other areas. In addition there is a ‘bump’ at the bottom designed to stimulate the clit.

large purple phallic vibrator, slightly curved and ridged.

it's so... purple. The G-twist.

What I liked most is the range of vibration speed. The dial at the base of the vibrator is easy to use and starts off slowly, increasing in speed until the fastest speed is reached and then decreasing in speed again. (

Editor’s note: I would like to agree heartily with the sentiments expressed in this article, and add that the G-Twist is indeed very quiet, making it an excellent toy for those who share thier homes with others. If you take the advice of my partner, it makes an excellent Valentine’s Day Present too.

Picks for the Anti-Valentine

31 Jan

So, you hate Valentine’s Day too? Maybe you dislike the idea, or the “Hallmark Holiday”, or just don’t feel like celebrating. Well, join the club: there’s even a day for it, if you’re single.

But even if you hate Valentine’s, you deserve a treat, right? And if going out with your friends isn’t your thing, how about a night in, snuggled up with a DVD or a book and some coffee and cake? Or chocolate, of course – it is traditional at this time of year, after all. Oh, plus it’s tasty.

So, what would I recommend? Well, top of the list: entertainment. I particularly enjoyed reading the …on Top selections of short stories – salacious literature about men and women topping (or dominating) their partners. Alternatively, if looking at gorgeous photography is more your bag, you can’t go wrong with a spot of Ray Leaning.

Prefer a night with a good film? Well, then I prescribe Preaching to Perverted, a BBC film (yes, really!) now exclusive to Coffee, Cake & Kink, it is the story of a young man trying to gather evidence for a legal case against fetish clubs in the UK; however, the star of the show falls in love with an American sex goddess and leader of the UK and US “scene” and tries to persuade her out of her illegal exploits, whereas she wants to pervert him… who will win? The DVD is region 0 which means you can watch it anywhere in the world. You know you want to try it…

What will you eat and drink whilst you enjoy your evening’s entertainment? Our ranges of coffee and cake change often, so give us a call to chat to one of our Personal Shoppers and see if they can tempt you with some wonderful Monmouth coffee, handmade cakes and Feeding Your Imagination chocolate…
